Dressing up for graduations can be confusing. Not to mention, intimating at times. And as the youngest in my family outfit of four older sibling, (yes four, which caused plenty chaotic moments, sorry mom and dad) meant that I’ve dealt with my fair share of high school and college graduations and know a thing or two when it comes to dressing for them.

How To Dress for One?

The first rule of thumb when it comes to these events and situations is to always dress up, never down. But what if there isn’t a dresses code? Or I show up over dressed compared to others? I know you’re going to worry over this, I did too, but nothing feels worse when you end up as the only one who’s under dressed. It can feel embarrassing, or sloppy and unprepared when you’re not in your Sunday’s best. Besides, this is an important day, might as well make the most of it. Remember “Better safe than sorry.”.

Now that we go that covered, what should you really wear? Simple. Think casual formal. It’s not support fancy, yet not too casual, it combines the perfect middle ground for both.
